Magazine Design
Project Goal: The task was to create a publication magazine of your choice. I chose to design an interior design magazine addressing the latest design trends of the year. The goal was to create a cohesive system between the cover, table of contents, opening spread, and interior spreads of the magazine. This project was a great exercise for experimenting with typography layouts and photography placements.
Create a magazine that includes:
- Cover
- Spine
- Table of contents
- Opening spread
- Two main text spreads
Inspiration Behind the Brand
The inspiration for this magazine came from a cut and past college mood board I made when thinking about my magazine ideas. I wanted to play with the cut and past idea because that’s what interior design felt like to me. We see all of these nice objects in stores and piece them together in our home to design the space we love.
Design Style: Cut and paste feeling, assembling, scrap book feeling
